I
originally trained as an embroiderer
and textile artist, working for
a number of years in this area producing
panels and hangings based on nature.
I
taught creative embroidery students
for some years - working in colleges,
private institutions, by distance
learning, and 'on line' via the
Internet.
Now
based in the beautiful country of
Sweden I pursue my first passion
of creating 3-dimensionally and
being able to inject some of my
own personality into the pieces
I create.
I
am a spontaneous artist! I sketch,
draw, paint and work directly with
fabric and threads. I work from
the heart and soul, and endeavour
to create pieces that reflect moods,
emotions and spirit.
I am fascinated how figures and
dolls have been staple artefacts
in society, religions, cultures,
and in peoples' lives.
I
attempt to also evoke these strong
feelings into the work I do.
